CERTIFICATION PROGRAMS FOR BECOMING AN AIR HOSTESS:

To become an air hostess you have to go through three different levels of training. These include certificate courses, diploma courses, and degree courses in the field of aviation, hospitality, travel or tourism management, air hostess/cabin crew/flight attendant training, customer service, etc. This is preceded by the formal training conducted by the respective airways. Certificate and Diploma courses usually take one year, not more than that. Degree courses are of normal length;3 years.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-

AGE LIMIT OF 18-26 YEARS AT THE TIME OF APPLYING OR STARTING OUT

THE MINIMUM HEIGHT IS 5 FT – 5FT 2 INCHES.

THE MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT IS 10+2 EDUCATION IN ANY STREAM. 

A CERTIFICATE, DIPLOMA, OR DEGREE  IN THE FIELDS OF AVIATION, HOSPITALITY, travel, or tourism ADDS an advantage, but not compulsory

NEAR TO PERFECT EYESIGHT,20/40, WITH GLASSES OR CONTACT LENSES IF NEEDED.

PREFERABLY, A PERSON SHOULD BE UNMARRIED AT THE TIME OF APPLYING.

PROCEDURE TO BECOME AN AIR HOSTESS:-

If you want to join an airline, you have to go through a preliminary check. Apart from this, there are other steps which include: To join any airline to make an ideal career as an air hostess, there will be a preliminary screening followed by the following steps: A written aptitude test in the form of multiple choice questions to test your core reasoning and analytical skills Group discussion Your communication and leadership qualities, which are critical to being part of a cabin crew, to see how you perform within a group setting Personal interview to understand your personality traits, your temperament, and how well you would fit into the role and its requirements. Physical and mental fitness tests ensure that you are prepared for all aspects of the job. These include blood tests, vision and hearing tests, drug and alcohol tests, BMI calculations, etc. The accepted candidates are then given necessary training for procedures like emergency landing, first aid using defibrillators, or other medical equipment. In the event of an accident or something along those lines, they are trained in survival strategies such as procuring edible food, potable water, and shelter, and how to seek help.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-

1.18-26 years of age at the time of applying or starting.

2. Minimum height is 5 feet-5 feet 2 inches.

3. Weight should be within a normal range, proportional to height.

4. The minimum educational requirement is 10+2 education in any stream.

5. A certificate, diploma, or degree in aviation, hospitality, travel, or tourism adds an advantage, but is not mandatory.

6. Be or be eligible for an Indian passport without visa restrictions.

7. Near-perfect vision,20/40, with glasses or contact lenses if necessary.

8. Preferably, a person should be unmarried at the time of application.

9. Pass any background checks and drug screening tests.
